About iPoak.org

Welcome to iPoak.org

If this is your first time visiting our site, then thank you for taking a look. We hope you like what you find.

iPoak.org aims to provoke environmental debate; more important, it seeks to use that debate to arrive at policy solutions. Some of the articles we publish are short teasers; some are detailed policy prescriptions or case studies. Each week, iPoak posts every question on energy, climate change or the environment that has been asked in the UK parliament along with the ministers’ written answers.

You will also find a tag-cloud that floats on the iPoak.org site. The more a subject is discussed the bigger the letters of that word appear in the tag-cloud so you can see at a glance the issues that currently preoccupy the environment community.  We hope you will soon come to think of iPoak as an invaluable resource that helps you to create and reflect upon, informed and challenging proposals for sustainable living.

Although based in the UK, iPoak.org engages with policy makers, scientists and economists from all over the world.  Contributions can be in many formats; video posts, photographs or sound recordings of the natural world will be just as welcome as written articles or downloads of new legislation. You will find that iPoak.org is not impartial.  It has editorial bias because we care about the natural world and our place within it. We believe that climate change is real. We believe that biodiversity is valuable and vital for healthy ecosystems. We believe that equitable sharing of resources is the only way to a sustainable human future.

So thank you for logging on to iPoak.org; please let us know what you think by commenting on our articles.

Thank you,

Barry Gardiner MP
